Logged-in user's group information


The command to check the user's group is groups.

Entering the groups command displays the group name of the logged-in user.

# groups  
root  

Entering the groups command displays the group name of the logged-in user.

Group information of specific users


If you want to see the group information of a specific user, enter the user name after groups.

User name and group information are also displayed.

# groups webdev  
webdev : webadmin  

You can see that the webdev user's group is webadmin.
